Iron Man's Don Cheadle Moving to a House of Lies
Player Don Cheadle is going to steal your watch and tell you the time in a new dark comedy about management consultants.
The red-hot series House of Lies has a lot going for it: Oscar candidate Don Cheadle (Hotel Rwanda, Ironman) has just in agreement to star, and Emmy winner Stephen Hopkins (The Life and Death of Sellers, 24) is directing. The show is founded on the record book Business firm of Lies: How Management Consultants Slip away Your Watch and Assure You the Time, a memoir near direction consultancies by other watch-stealer-time-Teller Martin Kihn.
The series is going to be a half-time of day funniness, taking what Deadline calls, "a subversive, scathing look at a self-loathing management consultant from a top-tier firm." Cheadle's character Marty is this consultant, a fierce benignant of guy willing to consumption whatsoever way necessary to get the job done.
Deadline quotes Commencement President of Entertainment David Nevins American Samoa saying, while Cheadle is an triumph dramatic doer, he "happens to constitute an extremely funny gentleman. House of Lies is the perfect show to take advantage of both sides of him. Candidly, I would ingest been happy just to get his autograph."
House of Lies will air on Showtime, and is set to get in output in February of 2011.
